Planning: Peoples opinions for music video - How feedback helped

As there is not an original video available it allowed us to be more innovative when planning ideas for the music videos.

For ideas i first looked at many own videos of Ed sheeran.

I found that many of his videos are based in just one set location like an room in a house or hospital

Nearly all shots had been fully focused on the singer Ed Sheeran. Many props in his video would be a instrument such as a guitar and casual clothing such as a jumper,jeans and converses which is very repetitive in all is videos. many of his videos will be him as the main character whereas some will have him in there for split second. this gives us a option whether we want to base the filming mostly on the singer or have something else being filmed. the choice would be mostly the singer as the aim is to promote the new artist.

To gather ideas for the music video i asked 3 different people what they thought should be included into the video. i made sure each person was very different to the other two so the answers would not be exactly similar

What have people said?

1st person Feed back (Abdul) : After hearing the song Abdul said that the singer should be walking through the city singing the song. He should be singing at all iconic places in london such as london eye and tower bridge. He also said that the singer should have base tracks on the london eye.  their should be filming in the morning and night to show time passing.

2nd person feedback (Craig): Craig said the singer should be travelling on a train and bus while singing. He should be holding a map which also shows his journey through london with an animated arrow on it. 

3rd person Feedback (Salena) Salena suggested that the filming should take place on a balcony where there is and overshot of london and on an moving tour bus to act like the singer is a tourist who is exploring london. 

How we used feedback

After feed back and research on original videos of Ed sheeran we gathered ideas. Many ideas were similar and matched the ideas we came up with already so we decided to keep these ideas from the rest. the ideas we kept with and built on was the sense of traveling and exploring london.  But instead of transport we decided to have walking traveling with the artist siging. also we kept the idea of filming from a balcony.
