Research - Editing base track

In today's lesson we learned how to edit base tracks in Final Cut Pro and how to match the lip-syncing. 

The first step is to take a word for the song (we used the first word 'Breathe') and mark it exactly when it starts. Then drag the music track with the marker to the timeline. 

After, we picked a base track and did a similar thing, however it is easier to mark the sound of the clip than to try and mark it while you watch the girl sing.



 After putting the marker exactly in the place where the girl start to sing, we drag the base track to the timeline and match with the marker of the music track. Watch it to make sure it's lip-syncing correctly and do the same thing for other base tracks.


Then, use markers in the timeline to edit together with the beat, and cut each clip with the markers.


After, all we have to do is choose which base track we want to use at each time, and delete the others using backspace.
