RESEARCH - Digipak Practice

Here is my CD cover. I used an existing image of Ellie Goulding.

I have used an exisitng album of Ellie Goulding - Lights Album for inspiration, onto my own digipak design. As you can see on the right the layout of the artist is rather simple but very much appealing and is a convention of the genre. In the same way above I have constructed a simple layout but made sure that the focus is on the artists image.
At first I used Adobe Photoshop element to adjust the image - using the cropping tool and as the background of the image already had a brown background, I used the bucket tool to fill in the back cover of the CD panel too. I then uploaded the image onto Quark Express to add text.
