Researching ANCILLARY - Analysis of Magazine Advertisements

We also have to reate an advertisement for our album!
To help us get started, we were asked to research into some existing advertisements for albums and see what type of style a real advertisement should look and feel like.

This is one of  Kate Nash's - My Best Friend Is You album advertisement.
The designer of this advertisement has ensured to use the same graphic's as the Album cover and the same colour theme. This is conventional when creating an advertisement.

Above is another two magazine advertisements. They are not from the same genre, but this time they are male artists, which will help me decide what sort of photograph and design I could be looking out for when creating my own advertisement.
I can see that a clear long shot has been used, which I think is a great shot to introduce a new artist to the world. Below every advertisements that I have come across include stores/online store logos/artist webistes/social networking sites, where people can go and purchase or listen to the song at.
The type of font used are both very clear. Sometimes the artists name is in one style of font and rest of the information is in another font or one style of font is used throughout the whole advertisement.

Finally, here is another magazine advertisment of The Script.
I personally really like this advertisement, because of the colour theme: black, white and grey. The album cover also uses the same clours too. Same again the artist/bands name is in a different style of font to the rest of the information on the advert. The images used are mid shots of the artists, which is directly looking towards the audience. I think this type of shot works really well, and I will be taking photographs of my artist in similar ways as to this when constructing my own advertisement.
