Planning - Audience expectations

I have done some research about our audience expectations of the music video 'The City'. Bearing in mind our core audience of young girls aged between 14-18, I decided to ask some of my friends and classmates about what they would like/expect to see in our music video.

I met a classmate from my previous Media class, Rochelle Laurencin, in the Media workshop, and she has told me a bit of what she expects about the music video.
Follows a transcript of our conversation:

F = Fabiolla; R = Rochelle.
F: "Im' doing 'The City' by Ed Sheeran"
R: "Oh I really like that song"
F: "Do you like Ed Sheeran?"
R: "Yes I'm a big fan"
F: "So tell me what you'd expect from the music video?"
R: "Well, you know how Ed Sheeran's music videos are very minimum? Like Small Bump where he is just sitting in the hospital singing. So, I am expecting something minimum, like the artist singing in the city to help to portray the lyrics. I have also watched some of his videos in which it's just Ed Sheeran singing in a studio, that's kind of like what I'd expect, something simple. I think that some kind of romance would be good as well. "
F: "Yeah, the song actually requires to be more simplistic and focus on the artist and his music rather than a big production, especially because of the lyrics, so we were thinking of being quite simple and have our artist singing in the streets."
R: "Yes, definitely, I can't wait to see it!"

I carried the research further via Facebook, here are the answers I got:

Many of them are related to each other and are also related to some of the ideas we had. What they all have in common is the city setting, which we will definitely be using in our music video. Most of them like the idea of it being at night using city lights and suggest the show of cars and people as the artist sings in the streets, which is linked to our ideas of the music video. From the feedback I got, new ideas I'd like to consider are: scenes that happen in the city at night (people's actions) - although I am aware of the difficulties involving filming these; the artist with a guitar on his back (since we cannot get an electric guitar and it would be good just to have the iconography of an instrument because of the genre); the artist's face in focus against a sea of people; bokeh effect from city/cars lights. I believe our music video is on its way to attend our audience's expectations.
