Ed Sheeran rename Edward Christopher was born in Halifax on the 17th of February 1991. He is an English singer, songwriter, and producer. At a young age he learnt how to play the guitar and started writing dongs. He began recording in 2005 and moved to London in 2008 to pursue a musical career. In early 2011, he released his eighth independent extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project; which then gained him attention. Three months later, Ed Sheeran was signed to Asylum / Atlantic Records. his first single was   "The A Team" which was released in June 2011 and was debuted at number three on the UK Singles Chart. In 2012, he won two BRIT Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough of the Year, while "The A Team" also won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.The genre of his music is Folk, acoustic, indie and pop.
